The terms behind the flat quote.
Last updated September 16, 2026.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By requesting a quote, booking a job, or otherwise using nomadteam.ca or Nomad Home Services’s services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t book a job with us.
2. What we do
Nomad Home Services provides the following services:
- Moving: Our main job. Local apartments and houses, moved by people who wrap everything and show up on time. Stairs and awkward furniture are our problem, not yours.
- Painting: Fill, sand, tape, then paint it right. Walls, ceilings, trim and doors — you come home to a finished room, not a taped-up mess.
- Installation & mounting: TVs anchored into studs, shelves that actually hold, blinds that fit the window. Straight the first time, cables tidied before we go.
- Labor & hauling: Two strong pairs of hands by the hour. Clear-outs, dump runs, shifting furniture between rooms, loading a truck you've rented.
- Furniture assembly: Flat-pack built properly — wardrobes, beds, desks, shelving. Levelled, tightened, and the cardboard leaves with us.
- Move-in setup: Move-in day, sorted. Boxes unpacked, beds made up, rooms laid out — the empty place turned into somewhere you can live.
3. Quotes and pricing
We price jobs with a single flat-rate quote agreed before the work starts — not an hourly rate. What we quote is what you pay for the scope described when you booked. If, once we’re on site, the job turns out to be materially different from what was described (extra rooms, extra items, access issues, etc.), we’ll quote and agree any additional cost with you before doing that extra work — it’s never added to your bill without your sign-off.
4. Scheduling
We aim to offer same-week appointment slots and, for smaller or single-item jobs, sometimes next-day. Availability isn’t guaranteed until a specific date and time is confirmed with you.
5. The one-year guarantee
Painting, furniture assembly, and installation/mounting work carry a one-year workmanship guarantee: if something we did is at fault — paint that’s failing, a shelf that’s come loose, an install that’s not holding — we’ll come back and fix it at no charge. This guarantee covers our workmanship; it doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by others after we leave, or materials supplied by you (for example, paint you purchased yourself).
6. Insurance
Our jobs are covered by insurance. If something is damaged as a direct result of our work, tell us as soon as you notice and we’ll deal with it.
7. Your responsibilities
You’re responsible for making sure we can access the property at the agreed time, for pointing out anything fragile, hazardous, or already damaged before we start, and for supplying any materials you’ve agreed to provide (such as paint or flat-pack furniture).
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nomad Home Services’s total liability for any claim arising from a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (for example, lost income or lost time) arising from a booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
9. Cancellations
You can reschedule or cancel a booking by contacting us — the earlier you let us know, the more flexible we can be with crew and materials already arranged for your job.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
